The great thing about broadcast is that it can bring one show
to millions of people with unmatchable efficiency.
But it can’t do the opposite – bring a million shows to one person each.
Yet that is exactly what internet does so well.

Since here to nowadays, we don’t know what exactly numbers of people around the world who are watching thousands of T.V. Channels via broadcasting.
but, we do familiar with those kind of media stuffs, television, radio, cable or satellite, and so on.
as well as we usually grab a remote control to change from channels to channels, which it may take time more than watching.

we are selecting or we are selected?

I totally agree with Chris Anderson. Nowadays, internet is the most influent media in the world. Also, we can deny that at present we may be selected by press more than select it by ourselves.
HI Ben
The best thing for broadcasting is that you can send one message to the masses, it is high reach and prestige, but sometimes it is too expensive, clutter and fractionalize audience (Shimp, 2007).
Today new media has growing too fast, many people still learning how to use it and receive the messages from different media channls. However, nowadays the majority of people is choose the fastest and simplest media channles (eg: internet) to use. In our generation, internet might be the most popular media for people to selected, but people still needs another media channles to keep them not get boring. I think that is the good point to explain why the traditional media still existing.

Hi There!
The internet is not the next thing, it is now and incredibly big. Broadcasters are taking too long to drop the penny and to fully embrace it. Hollywood could be the next industry to suffer if it takes too long to move towards embrace it.
Great! Good blogging…
